
Course Description:
Public Health is the study of protecting and improving the health of populations through education, policy-making, and research for disease and injury prevention. This course introduces students to the core principles and practices of public health, including health promotion, epidemiology, environmental health, and global health challenges.
Students will explore how social, economic, and environmental factors influence health outcomes and examine strategies used to prevent disease and promote well-being in communities. The course also covers public health systems, health policies, and the role of organizations such as the World Health Organization in addressing health issues worldwide.
By the end of the course, students will be able to analyze public health problems, interpret basic health data, and propose interventions to improve community health.
